I am not positive. But I believe that there is a new version of XTNDconnect on www.siemens.com

it says NEW version 4.5

date 12/07/01 which in euro date format (or us military) that would be july 12th 2001.

Am I right?
is this new?

I am guessing everyone already knows its there and I am the last one to know.

I downloaded and installed it but I'm still having problems with the Connect Viewer. When I go to access Phone Books, my S40 drops the IR connection. It may be firmware on the phone, I haven't taken the time to upgrade it to the latest and greatest by sending into Siemens.

The Outlook sync works fine.

I'm using Windows 2000 and IRComm2K (The freeware version, not the version Siemens ships).

I too downloaded the latest Xtend Connect software, and likewise the Viewer disconnects the IR connection when I attempt to read the phone books.

How did you get the MS Outlook synchronization to work?
Sometimes it will synch 4 names, sometimes 26, most times none.

Are you using the serial cable or the IR link?

Any help appreciated.

sync works pretty reliable for me, 47 contacts in 3 groups and a few items in the calendar.
but I too get disconnected with the extend viewer in phonebooks
