S55 1000 Mah Li-Ion Battery

I just saw a site advertising an aftermarket 1000 Mah Li-Ion Battery for the S55. Given that the OEM version is only 700 mah, this thing looks kinda tempting. Anyone have any experience with aftermarket batteries? Should I be avoiding these?

Dunno. But where did you see this Ad ?

I just got one of the 1000 mAh batteries.
I haven't conditioned it fully yet, but so far it seems to last about the same amount of time as the OEM 700 mAh battery that came with the phone. Oh well, it was worth a try.

I bought an aftermarket, noname, increased battery for my nok 3590 a couple months ago on ebay (was like $3). The specs on it read the battery should last about 20-50% longer. The thing not only lasted shorter than the original battery, it also caused my phone to turn off when the signal got low. The $0.01 car charger that came with it, though, that was cool, it worked

The description on this battery here seems to make it sound as if it's not noname?

Might be a good idea to avoid aftermarket batteries altogether........
