Hey... I'm using a nokia 6610, and as far as I have used it, it's great! but there's a slight problem.. the FREAKING operator logo is so getting on my nervers! does anyone have any idea, how to get it off? this is without ordering the transperant logo, because, even though nokia is from finland. the transparent logo isn't out here yet :/

to download and save the blank logo the phone must be unlocked by t-mobile in order to work. i tried on three 6610's and the only one that worked was the phone that was already unlocked. call t-mobile to unlock it because the unlock codes you get everywhere else probably won't work, i already tried and failed so i had to order a new phone once already.

Not true on the phones i tried...Two locked and one unlocked all three worked.

That's strange. I just finished unlocking mine with the codes T-Mobile provided and I already had a transparent logo sent to me. T-Mob logo is still there.

Where did you get yours?

well, it all depends on your sim card, plus you have to re send it to your phone. my sim card is barely a year old and it won't allow the blank logo to be saved to my phone, but another guy has an old vstream card that allows it on any phone locked or unlocked. so unless your card allows you to do it it seems impossible

I have a Nokia 6610 with T-Mobile service...

Does anyone know of a way to get around T-Mobile blocking other operator logo's without having them unlock the phone? Will T-Mobile willingly (freely $) unlock this feature on my phone?

It seems that even if I had another logo on my phone, I wouldn't be able to use it because the option to turn on/change the operator logo is dimmed out on the menu. I really would like to get rid of this thing because it messes up my cool <a href="www.homestarrunner.com">homestar</a> wallpaper. Other than that, the phone is awesome.
