Flashing keypad hack won't work!

I tried doing the keypad hack on two phones and they wouldn't work for some reason. I saved the codeplug, opened it up in Hex Editor, went to 000014aa, and chaneged the value from 50 to 4c, wrote the new plug into the phone, and boom. Nothing. have they moved the values or is it possibly a software problem. Both phones are CP19.00 and Software version .00. Can this be fixed with CCU or i95 MR utility? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

if you were able to open the hacked codeplug with the changed value in rss and write it back to your phone you probably did everything right. Make sure that when you test it out you are using a midi ringtone not a regular ringer.

gay, it doesnt work on 85.00.00

had to be 85.01.00 or higher, except .04

this is because the LE"s were what had it and the FIRST LE's had the new 85.01.00 REMEMBER!

I forgot about the LE hack and just did it today. Had to downgrade from 85.01.04 to the photo software 85.01.02 but it works now. I had to change the values in three of the lines and not just one. I don't have the like to the thread but I will try and find it. Just follow it exactly and presto, flashing keypad and status light to a midi ringtone only!!!!
