just wondering if any of there camera phones like the 5300 or the 8100 are gsm?

Sanyo is exclusive to Sprint. So no, no GSM phones from Sanyo.

Actually, I know I've seen a website that had Sanyo phones from hong kong and japan. I'm not sure if they were GSM phones or not, but I know that they make phones for other companies besides Sprint. You are correct though in that Sanyo doesn't make phones for any other US companies besides Sprint.

well in canada they make phones for telus, so that ain't sayign much.

yes they so make gsm phones but for asia only. and the format for the sim card is different in asia than the US. So even if you bought a phone there, it would not work here!

Sanyo will make some phone for Vodafone wish will be Gsm and WCDMA.

Umm, why are SIM cards from Asia different from the ones here in North America? Aren't they all the same? I have a SIM card from Asia and it does work in my North American phone.

some asian carriers have different formats so it just depends who u have.

As far as I know, all sim cards are the same can be used on whatever, but only pending on what band the phone is.

My sister was living in Penn State, and now moved to New Orleans. Most of her phones are bought from HK, and she can still use it with US sim cards.

I guess the only phones that are not usable else where is phones from Japan, and WCDMA from China.
