I know this has probably been asked a MILLION times, so here it is again.
1. What does it mean to have your phone flashed?
2. What does it do to your phone once its flashed?
3. How do you tell if your phone needs to be flashed?:confused

1. To have your phone flashed means it upgrades your phone software.
2. Once your phone is flashed, it will fixed some or all of the phone bugs in the ealier version.

Vi3t_Guy_SJ... How do one know if there phone needs to be flashed? I have a Nokia 3390b V 02.01 28-aug-01 NPB-1RB do I need to flash? If i do where do I go to get flashed?

There are 2 ways to know for you to know if your phone need to be flashed or not. Getting your phone flashed or not is not a requirement. Updating your phone's firmware is just like downloading an update patch for Windows.
1. You experienced problem with your phone.
2. There's a new firmware version released.

I'm not sure what is the latest firmware version for 3390b, but for the 3390 is 7.13. You can get your phone flashed at a Cellular retailer (some do and some don't), your provider, or send it to Nokia.
