This forums is great but not "that" much information about the p800, i'm looking for stuff like tips and tricks and newbie information i guess.

With the exception of software and code writing related topics, this is the best forum available for how to use and setup your P800, try using the search button to find the answers to your questions. I'm sure it's been asked and answered before.

Just my 2 cents. The P800 forum on esato is OK but, on average, the posters seem far less mature and helpful than here on HoFo.

Here, the rudest it ever gets is "use the search button." On esato, they flame their own mothers.

Also, the answers here generally are far more detailed and helpful than esato.

Again, just one man's opinion. Well, back to the California recall!

actually i found all the answers that i would need on esato, it seems they have way more p800 information.... here its nice but not so many p800 users

I totally agree with you. All I ever see on esato is flaming others.

As a regular poster on Esato (http://www.esato.com/board/bb_profi...view&user=11943), with no other ties to the forum except my enjoyment of it, I have to disagree with the view given here of Esato.

You do get the occassional flamers but they come and go quickly.

Generally though the forum is as informative and friendly as howard forums and although I do post there most of the time I do keep one eye on Howard forums too.

Sometimes something new appears first here and sometimes on Esato so I think they actually compliment each other.

so... lets all be friends!

i'm spend alot of time on esato, and its very good there but the last months alot of noobs and smart asses are posting junk. so i'm visiting other forums a bit more. but esato is still the best for me

From what i've seen on Esato there is only about 3 or 4 flamers! Usually flaming each other!

i agree wih masseur and vlam, im also a regular at esato and i do get my questions answered when i need them... yup some people flame each other but heck that happens everywhere.

I'm one of those who felt there was too much flaming on Esato. On reflection, the problem is not as bad as I thought. Perhaps it is the comparison with this forum, where people are very polite. Also, the depth of the posts on Esato as a general rule is far less than here. That being said, Esato can be useful, and the more good P800 forums, the better.

I have found that Esato can have a group of very nice and interesting people, however, the children who dominate the threads and hijack them are very impolite, immature, and downright disgusting.....I believe that most of it stems from a lack of respect for as well as a tremendous dislike of Americans. Unfortunately, the moderators don't do anything regarding the rude members and I personally won't waste my time over there anymore. It's a shame because as has been pointed out before the two forums could compliment each other very well.

In fact, Vlammet and SonySandy are two of the very impolite and very rude people of Esato. No wonder they like to sing it's praises.

Exactly Scarface, and the two new members I pointed out were participants in the thread jacking and just outright rudeness. I know that it is probably more of an issue with maturity, but there is certainly no question which is the better forum. We used to have some of that occur here at Howard early on, but Howard made sure the Moderators got rid of the abusive and rude posters. A much better run site, much more positive and tolerant people here.
