A55/56 is a great entry level fone. Sound quality and RF are both solid. As for reviews... here are a few:

I have had it for a few months now and really like it. It is entry level, but has all of the features that I need in a phone. Sound quality and RF have been great.

hey, siemens a56, c56, ct-56 all these entry level phones are very well built and have very good RF and i must say the siemens entry level series are as hot as the nokia 3390's when it first came out............MEANING:get one and you wont be sorry!

There are some A56 users in the Fido forum... you can always get their take on the fone from them as well.

Ok, I'll give you my take on this phone. I've had it for 3 days now and I am very dissapointed in it. Basic, but too BASIC.

What I like - LEDs fade out really nicely, better than 8390. Relatively small and light (even though it could be thinner).. Pretty decent reception, but could be louder. Buttons have good feedback..

What I dislike - Earpiece is way too quiet, I have to jam it in my ear just to ear out of it. Menus suck, ringers suck, you cant d/l rings, orange turns me off, the hole at the back is gay, the battery door doesnt cover the whole phone so you get a chunk of white from the phone stickin out, which is gay too, the faceplates feel cheap as they dont go on 1005 tightly. Space gap between the front and back. Battery low indicator gives a lame cheeze ring instead of a simple beep. Annoyin beeps when sending out call.
