Just got my phone from an ebayer today. How can I tell if the phone has been unlocked? The phone is originally purchased for ATT which is also my carrier. So without a sim card of another carrier how can I tell that it's been unlocked? I will be using the phone oversea in a few months and I don't want to find out then that it's actually not unlocked.
Thanks.

Is it for the GU87 you're talking about? if so, i think u could see it by pressing "746 menu menu" and see if u can put the unlock code for it for network.. if it does, the yours is locked

Yes, it's for GU87. When I did the 746 menu menu, I go tthe following:
SIM
Network
Sub-Network
ServiceProvider
Corporate
I clicked on each but nothing happened. So does this mean it's unlocked?
Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Just out of curiosity, what would it look like if it's not unlocked and is under, say, ATT, as the carrier?

In the 746 menu menu, the following submenus "SIM" and "Network", it would ask you to punch in a "NCK" code which is about 16 characters long.
