CB2000 Connection Problems

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

hello,

I have tried flash upgrading the GD87 from A19 to A53.... and it all went well until the final stage where i try and connect CB2000 v1.349 to the handset. It simply won't establish a comms connection.

Is it coz i am using the data cable and not the service cable? (i have isolated pins 4 and 10 on the data cable) and set the port to port 1.

Any ideas or help greatly appreciated coz right now the phone is pretty useless bar an attractive paperweight.

Cheers

Right, sorted it. the instructions surrounding this were abit vague, but here is what i've discovered...

Pins 4 and 10 need to be blocked on the data cable, that much was known.

On the CB2000 software, when you click the "Handset Power" button, you need to power the phone up right after clicking it, don't asume that that it will do it on it's own. Unfortunately it took me the best part of the day to work that out, but there we go... problem solved.

After that, the following instructions worked like a peach...

Managed to upgrade the firmware with no problems.

Hope this proves to be of some use to people in the same situation i was in.
