Just got word from Siemens that software version 9.0.0 is coming. It should be available in Service Centers in the second week of April.

Improvements of 8.0.0 over 7.0.0:
- including Polish T9

Improvements of 9.0.0 over 8.0.0:
- all local wordings for "Dictaphone" had to be changed, new wording is "Dictating machine"

It seems there was some trouble with the trademark owner...

That's for the S40?

Man, and I was excited to get 5.0.0 a week ago.
The North American office needs to catch up.

What's wrong with "dicked-a-phone"? Mine seems to work fine!

So where will 9.0 be available? Every BUT Germany, rite? hehe. Anyone know what will the latest version in North America be? How bout Asia (more specifically HK)?

The S40 revision steps always promise major improvements but they mostly are cosmetic touches.
Not all revisions are published everywhere (e.g. 8.0.0 only in Poland) but I expect 9.0.0 to be available almost everywhere because of the trademark trouble.
