hey

I have a big problem here...... Since I upgraded the firmware to A53 it started to shut off by itself but now I can't even turn on the phone. I have made searches on here and different boards and I couldn't find any help but I did find the info of FULL DEAD and HALF DEAD phone so it said for HALF DEAD phones... The power won't turn on but if you charge the phone and see the red light on it means it's HALF DEAD so it can be repaired and thats how my phone is right now so I'm assuming it's HALF DEAD. I can't understand some of the post since everyone it just talking about different things so if someone could help me one on one on here or any other way.... you can hit me up on YAHOO/AIM at " alloddz " or e-mail : all_oddz@hotmail.com , thank you in advance

I had a similar problem. The GU87 would respond to the charger but won't turn on no matter what I did. I had to send the phone to the Panasonic Repair center here in the states and they ended up giving me a new one. They said the eeprom was damage. This might be the same for you...........

Thanx........ I went to the AT&T Wireless dealer and they told me I had to call AT&T and I have to send in 50 dollars but when I called they just told me I would get a phone replacement in 2 business days and I have to ship the messed one back as soon as I get the replacement... I think the lady told me only 5 dollars would be charged to my bill but maybe I didn't hear her too well so I guess I have to pay the 50 dollars but i wish i heard her correctly and only said 5 dollars :-D ..... but thank you

It should be able to be fixed by running function clear from cb2000 in the program handset data selection in the settings tab

I tried all of that but the phone won't just turn on at all, even with a new battary so if it can't be turned on. any other way?

Function clear would be sent to the mobile before it was fully on. Are you saying that you successfully sent function clear via cb2000? Did the mobile go into test mode when using cb2000?

Well I turned it off completely and then it would never turn back on, it was completely dead but AT&T ready sent me a replacement phone..... I upgraded it and everything but I have't test it out so if any programs like that happens I will be aware of them. Thank you for your help.... oh by the way...... Is there any other codes besides 746,M,M and *#9999# ?
