GD88 Accessory Adapter Protector

It was the 2nd most annoying stuff about GD88. the Accessory Adapter Protector. I took it out SOMEWHERE (I have no idea where), and I feel very iffy about carrying it without it. Do I must have it on to protect from dust or water? (DUH!). Anyone know if there's any wholesale that sells whole bunch of those protectors? I think I will need at least 3-4 of them for the next 2 years (until my next phone upgrade) -_- Your feedback would be much appreciated.

I have had my GD87 for 10 months and never had that plug in the mobile and have never had a problem through rain, snow, sleet or shine. Granted I have not dropped my mobile in a puddle, pool or toliet, but then again, I think that the plug would do little in that case.
