I got the $20 best buy desktop charger, and am wondering if anyone yet has been able to modifiy it to charge with the extended battery(in either slot). If so, would you mind explaining what you did. I dont want to go chop up my unit til I have an idea of where.
Thanks
G.

I've got the same charger. I took a utility knife and cut both charging slots. The slot that recieves the phone itself, I cut both the vertical face and along the top horizontal surface (about half the width) of the part that divides the slots, just enough to fit the extra bulge of the extended battery. On the spare battery slot, I only cut the vertical face, again to the exact profile of the bulge. Since the battery sits in at an angle, it's not necessary to cut the top surface, which was lucky bc there wasn't much left of it to cut away. It worked perfectly. The challenge is to make the cut big enough to accept the extended battery without letting the standard battery slip through the hole. So take advantage of the similar edges of both to actually support them in the cradle.
good luck
