Quick question, is there a way to transfer all numbers from the address book to the sim card all at once? I figured out how to transfer one at a time, but I have lots of numbers and was wondering if there was a way to send all at once?

Open your address book, arrow down to the first item in the address book. Press Options, arrow down to 'Mark All', then press Options again, and arrow down to 'Copy to SIM'. It will go thru them one by one, so you can confirm. Think that is by design, since the SIM doesn't understand multiple numbers, address,e-mail per person.

I'm curious about the implications of keeping address info in the phone's memory vs. the SIM card other than being able to slip the card into another phone. Will the phone perform better if you use the SIM? Are you able to access info directly from the SIM or does it have to imported into the phone's memory? The manual is pretty lame.....

On the S56 you can make either the Address Book or Phone Book the default. I keep all my phone entries on the SIM so when I change phones, I don't have to re-enter all the names and numbers again. I don't think there is any performance difference. The biggest difference is the Address Book can contain much more information such as multiple numbers, home, cell, work, etc. plus email addresses, and voice dialing is only available on the Address Book for the S56 and most other phones that have that option.

I'm using the address book as my default as well, but haven't gone the extra step to copy them to the SIM. Should I assume that because of the extra info it is automatically saved on the SIM? When I try to import to the address book without being synced to another device the phone searches until I hit stop. If the info was on the SIM I assume the phone would give me the option to import....I'll have to try it out. This may sound a bit stupid but this is my first venture into gsm territory

when I tried to save address info to the SIM it appears it was edited to ponebook format and the extra ifo was erased. how do you go about erasing entries off the SIM?
