I'm so confused nowadays. So many amazing cell phones coming out, so little money! I've been checking out the P800 for months and at first it seemed to be the perfect cell phone for me: it has a cool design, bluetooth, touch screen, camera, etc... The only thing that prevented me from buying it in the first place was Sony's use of the memory stick duo(you're limited to 128mb, kinda lame & expensive). Also the size was a bit of a turn off, I'm not exactly sure if this thing would fit in my jean pockets(anyone care to comment?). But today I was out, and I saw some guy using a P800 and to tell you the truth it didn't look so big in person! I honestly was salvitating over the P800 when I saw it(ALSO clearly a chick magnet! alot of girls were checking the phone out from a distance!)
. Shame it's so expensive(around $600US here). But i'll be travelling to Europe/US in a couple of days and I was wondering what the prices are out there? Any better? I'll be going to Amsterdam--->New York and then to Los Angeles. I hear you can get good deals in NY with a new contract w/T-Mobile or Cingular. Anyone? Good deals on the P800 in NYC or LA?
If i can get this baby for around $400, which i seriously doubt, I'd be more than happy--even with a contract! But now with the SX1/6600 coming out I'm lost again!!! The SX1 would have been perfect had it not been for the lame keypad, and the 6600 as far as i know uses mono instead of stereo sound...what a shame. Where is the perfect smart phone?? !
SO CONFUSED...I could use some opinions!

I can't comment on the other phones you mentioned eurotrashboy, but as probably everybody here on this forum, I mostly have good things to say about the P800 and I don't see any competitor to the P800 at this time.
It's size is really reasonable and it will fit you jean pockets unless you wear tight jeans.
As far as price is concerned, the following thread http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...2BNew+%2 BYork mentions a place in NY metro where you could buy a P800 for $379 with activation.

Thanks for the tip, but $379--even with activation--seems to good to be true...I'll be checking it out tomorrow anyways. Europe was way too expensive for me--Amsterdam had it going for 799 euros, a big ripoff!
The quest for a P800 continues......

if you really like the phone then cough up the money, it is worth every penny.....it fits in your pants unless you wear them real tight
I paid $450 for my i95, and you know what I am happy, so look at what your getting for the same price......the best dam phone ever made, consider yourself a lucky man if you do get it
