i just moved from philadelphia to new york university and i have almost no service in my dorm room as well as very little service around school.. i have a new case and antenna on my i95cl and have added many games, ringtones but haven't done anything else.. is there anything i can do for better reception? such as like a software upgrade or even one of those antenna booster things? where could i go to have my phone looked at? thanks

First off, welcome to NY.

Upgrading to the latest software version may help slightly but more than likely your just in a low coverage area and there isn't much you'll be able to do about it. Unless you have the money to spend on some type of external antenna or a mini-repeater.

If by "antenna booster things" you are referring to the stickers which go under the battery and claim to improve your reception, save your money, they do not work.

If you think your lack of reception might be caused by your housing swap, take your phone to Hyper Wireless and have them look at it. www.hyperwireless.com

Can you find someone else with a Nextel phone to see if it's in fact your phone or the area?
