Help! Gomadic car charger problem with 5300

I bought a gomadic car charger/USP sync cable combo from eBay. It came packed well and looked well. The USB cable works fine. I can charge the phone and transfer data when it's connected to the USB port. But when I plug the cable to the car charger unit and try to charge the phone, it charges for one minute and then stops. The battery logo changes to charging logo for this minute and then changes back.

Did anyone have the same problem? I am not sure whether the car charger worked before since i didn't use it very often in the car.

Same crap happened to me but for the $5 I didn't even bother to write them... Glad to see I'm not the only one with the problem at least.

Nah, I use the extended battery most of the time and I find it lasts plenty long for me. When I am on the road, I jsut use the usb cable with the laptop to charge the phone from the room... I wish that damn thing worked though, it would have been a real nice comprimise between everything.
