are their any tools built into the phone or 3rd party that will tell you the spped our your connection while using the internet on the phone?

I used the auto setup from Sony's site and for my GRPS connection it gave me wap.voicestream.com as my proxy, I've seen on the bible of p800, it looks like he was using internet2 and internet3. should I be concerned and there any difference between these or does it just depend on your location?

thanks

a compressing HTTP 1.1 proxy (not WAP) will speed up your connection. The phone is smart enough to use this type of connection.

Not sure who gives out that service.

On T-Mobile it is called the "Accelerator", here is a screen shot...

Mark,

Can you go into your GPRS internet connection and check if you have a proxy server listed there (in the advanced button, proxy tab)?

My WAP account uses a proxy server, though my internet2 account does not.
