s40 IR sync with win2k

Hey guys, I just got my s40 yesterday and I'm trying to sync with outlook on my IBM Thinkpad T21 via the IR port.
I'm having problems though. It doesnt seem to recongize the port or something.. i get these sync errors. Anyone have any expereince with this?? are these settings that i need to change or something??
