i say no...
*backlight's a little overpowering -- so bright you can't read the keys (like those old modded nokias)
*keys are way too tiny for my fingers
*no ir, no bt; cables suck

but
*colour display is a nice touch
*40 tone poly is nice if a bit soft
*speakerphone!!!
*man is it tiny

I just bought one off ebay .. expecting it soon.. $207USD .. $247USD after shipping .. I hope I don't get ripped off after customs .. but one thing .. does this phone have any PC syncronization at all ?!

damn , there is no pc syncronization on the phone at all. Just found out now. And guys , do you know if all of the G50 models support chinese menus ? Because I'm not even sure myself that I'll be having the Jau Chow edition shipped to me. The seller on ebay doesn't seem to be too nice.

The jay chow one should have the zhu yin keypad. Not sure about the rest , and it's got Jay Chow on the box along with some extra ringtones.

just saw a blue G50 in a local rogers shop this week and looks niceee! that might be my next phone

Dinan3 is correct, Panasonic should be releasing the G51 next month that does have GPRS. Stupid move on Panasonic's part IMO...

hey i was told that the g50 housing is much stronger and built better with thicker better quality plastic than on the gd55...like it doesnt creak as much or if at all period. Cause i notice the gd55 creaks when you squeeze it. Gd55 is solid, but not as solid as others. Gimme some in sight on this folks.

yes it is....the G50's built quality and the feel of the phone is better than G55

thanks dude, so im taking it ures dont creak at all even when squeezed?

what color u have, the keys r chrome too right and the LEDs come thru around the keys and not through each one right like the gd55. And also bigger screen?

hows the attention ure getting from it?

i'm not sure about more than GD55...that is a cuter & chubbier phone...

and go to menu screen, go to the top left (or press 1), and then 3rd menu down is the language selection...
