MS Duo readers/adapters for PC

Hello,

How are any of you transferring data from your PC (or MAC) to your MS Duo to use in your P800.

I just purchased two 128meg MS Duos and have grown impatient with transferring music from my PC to the MS Duo through the P800 docking cradle .

I have always transferred data to CF cards sing a PCMCIA to CF adapter in my notebook and I am very satisfied with its speed.

I have seen the MS Duo CF Adapter at P800er.com that would fit into my PCMCIA adapter but to wait one to six weeks for delivery or pay $25 dollars (US) for speedier delivery seems a little much.

I have searched Google for the adapter but the only place I have run across it is at P800er.com

Does anyone know where else to get the MS Duo CF adapter or does anyone have any other solutions to offer for quicker data transfer from a PC to an MS Duo?

TIA

My piel frama case got to montreal in 10 days.

it was in vancouver almost right away... they ship from singapore to vancouver for canada... I assume may be seattle for the US?

email them, they are very good with answering questions.

Thanks,

Quick responses in this forum (I guess that should be expected since there were more than a dozen registered users browsing the forum when I posted)

So when they say one to six weeks, it only took about a week for you, ynohtna_lude, that is good news. I just might try emailing them and see what they have to say, though I would assume that they would try and be conservative on their shipping estimates.

Scarface, what kind of speeds do you get with your 6-in-1 and does it require drivers?

A USB MS adapter is an option but I would want something portable. I would think that the 6-in-1 would be a little more cumbersome than a straight MS reader.

I am really surprised that no one else sells the MS Duo CF Adapter. It doesn't even appear to be available direct from Sony

Anyway, Thanks again

well, sony has the ms reader too, but its a bit more expensive, mine is a usb 2.0, so it tranfers data farely quickly.

I use a 2.0USB 6 in one reader/writer for transferring MP3's and video to my duo. Much faster and easier to write directly to the duo than to transfer to the P800.
