i switch the sim card around to a t68i and a p800 reads in both phones the gprs signal just the t610 does not read it

what am i doing wrong?

is it profile related??

Check your data settings if its set for GSM only. Change it to GSM/GPRS.

also just a FYI: The T-Mobile firmware on T-Mobile branded ones disable the GPRS indicator

the t68i i got from tmobile did not have the gprs indicator disabled.... what you are saying does not make sense

i just borrowed my buddies T610 that he bought in switzerland and has AT&T service on it now.

in connectivity on his phone he has data accont, prefered service and something else.

on my phone is there only data account and if you click into that you have your difference t-zone, t-zone gprs etc etc etc.

back to ludwigs.. post you are correct tmobile must be having seperate firmware than the other phones.....

does anybody know how to get around that?

i guess if anybody has the factory phone lock code that would be more than appy to reset the phone to the factory settings...
