i want to know how to downgrade my phone, if thats what i need to do... i just want to do the ringtone, wallpaper thing, ya know? i got .01.01 and i finally got some response from my phone when using the companion pro. the companion pro is the only program that will recognize my phone. here at work we are running win 2k pro and i use a serial cable. i have tried webjal and iijalv6 and the iden update application. again the only one that works is the companion pro, whats the deal? can you help? i have been searching the forums high and low for about 2 months to no degree of success till today with companion. thank you very much for your help. actually iijalv6 does recognize my phone but tells me its not compatible with the software version on my phone. thanks again. any help is greatly appreciated.

There is no longer a need to downgrade. You can use Web Jal to load ringers, wallpapers and games to your phone no matter what software version you have.

if comp pro works, there is no reason the other programs wont work. check settings to see if the programs you are having trouble with are using the correct com port.

yeah that makes sense... ok. thank you. thats what i thought about the software... i didnt think there was a need with webjal. i will look at the settings one more time and check back in with the results if your interested or want to give me anymore help. thanks again.

ok ... i am getting the same ol message." the application was unable to find a phone attached. please check your phone connection and preferences. click retry..." like you said amazin. if comp pro recognized it then webjal should right? when i look at history it says there have been 3 phones connected and like 5 downloads...? whats up with that? not on my phone there havent.
