I know that i have to enter the code *3001#12345#, but when i get to that screen i dont know the values I need to enter for the PSID/RSID, Connected system ID, SOC, and country code

ok try these and let me know how you do.. i am in the Boston area therefore we should have the same values.
go to nam 1, then go to p/rsid1, then psid/rsid 40636, connected system id 4105, SOC 2049, country code 310.

if it works you owe me 20 bucks!!

Thanks a lot, I put in everything you told me to and now it works. I appreciate that a lot thanks again.

Word man.. i'm glad it worked out for you.

now you can charge your friends for modding their AT&T Nokias.

what does changing its alpha tag do?

Posted by: Machedi87

The alpha tag is the word on your phone that appears when it is turned on. Nokia 3360's are programmed to have the alpha tag as your Service Providers company name usually.

yes, like machedi said.. the alpha tag is where the name of your cell provider's name goes on the middle top part of the screen... dayum and i thought i was a n00b.

If I make these changes to my phone, will this in anyway effect my service or coverage area?

I have a 3560. I tried the settings above, it did not change the alpha tag. Anyone know the settings to change my alpha tag?

these codes are for the Boston area, i belive there is only one value that varies... these changes do not affect your service of coverage area.

I need the number with the question marks. I tried several different ones, but I would like the correct one.

then psid/rsid = ???
connected system id = 175
SOC = 2049
country code = 310

Also, do I have to do a "manual search" after I get the correct numbers?

psid/rsid = 12287

try that, and holla at me with results.

PS. no need to do manual search.
