Sending file with IR not available on my phone.

Hi,
I got a SL55 and SL56 from cingular. but both of them don't have an option to send vir IR on the option menu ??
but i remember i seem one that can send through IR. does anyone out there have the same problem as mine?
is this SW releated? or anyway to fix this?
