itz time.. the last few dayz a lota things changed with the gd87 and now there is a big new thing.. sum minutes ago i received this email from the infusio development center:

We have set up a new service allowing you to upload on our servers your games in development stages thus enabling you to download them onto your ExEn phones.

This service is available:
- In Beta version by clicking on 'My Games'
- To every developer zone member
- On mobiles phones featuring ExEn V2 colour or black & white.

Allowing you to:
- Register one or several phones
- Register your own phone and your Sim card on our servers
- Configure your phone in 'Developer mode'
- Upload and manage up to 3 games on any of your 3 private slots
- Access to a dedicated handset catalogue.
- Set your phone back in 'initial/player mode' at anytime.

Anybody tired this so far? Any comments or ideas? It would be nice to go around this silly network-dependability , and make games available for upload to the phone from the computer, such as the Wallbreaker. By the way. Who broke that out from the phone? It must have been taken out of the phone after downloaded from provider.

I was wondering the same thing......Where did that wallbreaker .ctc file originate from? Someone must know how that came about....

Hey Guys

Any news on this front??

I also searched around, and found this german site. It is for Sagem, but as we know, Sagem uses Infusio as well.

When you click the game icons, it will make you download an .exe file, that you can run, and from then on, it tryes to make a connection with something, but my understanding is not enough for this. Somebody who speaks german could give it a shot please?

Warning: this CTC will destroy your Wallbraker game. You can only get it back in italian (with the well known CTC file from italy).

I don't think we can RIP game from the phone, but we can create CTC file from EXN files.

WHere do you locate the exen files? I read in this thread earlier, that end-users who has the ability can create their own games with the Software Developement Kit that is provided through Infusio. Is that the way?

I mean they create the games, and then they modify it that it becomes a .ctc file??

Yes, you have to create the CTC file with the InFusio DSK (or find them somewhere on the Net).

Make the EXN file with the SDK, I will make a CTC file from it.

The demo is one of the samples in the Infusio SDK.
Yes you can host the file.
I don't know any site which host EXN files.

Other than that, if you guys download the SDK from infusio.com, you can see the games in simulator mode. The Crash Bandicot is my favourite. I wish I can have it on my phone. The chinese rule!!!!!! -> to have those listed on the forum.

Solution is coming. Lou69 is working on it.

I have translated the chinese site with an online translator, and they dont say anything about how to convert it, or where they got it from. I will try a few more foreign forums, but it takes forever to get the translations going, specially with the chinese characters.

This is the translator. You choose the source and destination languages, and paste the desired URL into the blank field, and it will do the job.

I am only hoping that the conversion is coming soon. I cannot wait to play with them. They are so good. Specially compare with that we couldnt have any games before.

I just went to Infusio, and this SDK thing, and seem to be following your message footsteps...., haha...

I cant really get my head around it all, but I was just looking for a way for you to convert those files to .ctc files, but no luck.

So what does that My Games section in Infusio Developer bit mean? From what I read you can develop the game, and then download to your phone??

P.S. I have some feedback for you, from my yahoo group, on your website, you deserve it...., your site covers all aspects, and finding the files you need all in one location....perfect..., anyway here is the feedback:

Hi

Good to hear that people appreciate my website. I do want to hear more comments, on how to prove it better.

The infusio is like this. You download the SDK, and try to develop a program, game. when you are done, you upload it to them, and they will act like your carrier, so you can download the game to your phone from them. It is howerer not supported by many carriers.

I played with the SDK, but I saw, that it is way out of my league, so for me to develop something, I would need to spend weeks and weeks, which i dont have obviously.

So without downloading it to your phone, we need to convert it to .ctc. so we can upload it to the phone with CB2000, which is the only way I believe to do so. And that is fine, because it doesnt get bugy, if you only touch your game with it.

I hope to see some improvements. Lou was able to convert the demo, but it was under 50K, which is the limit for him for some reason.

Hope to see some improvement.

I see what you mean about the Infusio games, it would take some time...

Would it be possible to develop a game, or take an already developed game, and then make it available via Infusio (same way you could do it for yourself - but share the file), so that everyone could then send it to their own phone?

It would be a stuff around to do, but maybe is possible?

Good thinking. But if we dont have such supported provider, I think we cannot download it from the INFUSIO site. So even if they download it with supported carriers, how can we get it? We are at the same place, where we have to get the games out of the phone, which was impossible so far, however the Chinese got it somehow, and that is where I downloaded it from. So i am hoping to hear somebody's view who has supported carrier.

Unles we find a way to take it out of the phone in .ctc format, or convert the exn files to ctc, I dont know what we can do.

Oh I think I got your point now. You mean if they upload the games to their carriers, and when they donwload it, they are in ctc format, so they can simply download it to their PC's and share it from there?/ that is a good idea. But I would think the games that you download from your carrier, or in this case from INFUSIO, are in exn format. Otherwise why would the Chiense have exn files?

Well lets have somebodys thought on this, who have already donwloaded such games.

You are right, someone out there knows more than we do, and probably the process to do it, otherwise we would not have Wallbreaker etc...

So all those who know, or have information or how-to's, should post it - to help the rest of us....

I am sure everyone wants more .ctc files, that 3D demo is a breath of fresh air....

Actualy, my limit is 100k (2 blocs of 50k), but y will try to use more blocs.

I have XP.

Try this: copy exn2ctc.exe and the exn files you want to convert somewhere on your PC. Then open a comand line prompt and go to this folder, just type: exn2ctc <name of the exn file you want to convert> (without <> of course)

This is a bug, the to sets are identical exept that in the root folder you have terminator and wallbreak that ARE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY.

Great news on the games much aprreicated to everyones efforts with this as games on a GD87 have been a big downer for most owners

Have all the games been tested,

As i dont want to try upload till i get a all clear, ie any bug issues with the games once on the GD87 , is it still the standard way of uploading them via cb2000

Any more games on the horizon, maybe a pac man clone or space invaders

Same problem with A39 here. For me, the wallbreaer works only. From Lou's file I mean. It is english, and yes, it has the strange size. As the other ones, they dont work.

I just tried all the games on my gd87 with a53 no sound firmware (custom max os menus)

can only get the demo ctc to work (very cool) all the other either say internal error or just blank screen and reset to from screen.

just put the italian ctc wall breaker i had so at least i still have something

i dotn the know about the two games at once, but I know that Spoon suggested we reflash, so it might clear some bugs.

For me now, I have A39, and I can get the wallbreaker, both italian and english with false screen, and the demo. The others, I annot get. It seems to load it, and when I go to games, the infusio animation comes, and it shows *wallbreaker only. So I click, and it says, internal error or what not.

I am pretty busy today, but later on, I will post all the files and games on a page on my server, for faster downloads.

Lou69. You obviously know computers better. Yes, it worked the way you told me. In COMMAND line mode, you can manually type it. Thanks a lot. I will try my own conversions later on, and hope it will work.

Okay, so I will stay put until somebody comes up with an idea.

What Firmware do you use? I have A39

I will also try to convert them to myself. As the download was horribly slow from the website at France, it might have hurted the .ctc files.

I will post my experiences in 4-5 hours. Now I ve got to go to school

Okay. I took the courage, and I am reflashing my phone to A22. THis is one thing I thought I will never do. Well, it is 50% done now, so I will post results as soon as it is done and tested. If it is true that it would work only with A22, that is pretty sad.

Okay. I did do the flash, and it works. You are right Spoon. I wonder if I go back to A53 now, will I loose it again? I will try I think. But the game is bloody slow, as one of you said before. Crash Bandicoot is so anoying. Is anything we can do about that?

Well, I will keep testing now. I will try to go back to A53, and see how it is.

By the way, the game stayed in the memory. So I loaded Crash Bandicoot with the A39 firmware, didnt work, so I did what you said, went down to A22, did a memory erase, and nothing more. The game was still there.

aww but you can always down flash, do the .ctc file and then reflash upwards but you don't erase all media data in CB200 and everything should be ok,..
bearing in mind, i dont own a GD87 no more, im just talking from my 6 months of experience flashign and playing with it.

Also im guessing you get an internal error because the defualt demo game is meant to be wallbreaker, when it detects another game it gets confused and hence your error, could always try tricking it into thinking something is wallbreaker

all just ideas and opinions tho

yes, I thought of those too. I think you are right. I thought it has to be some confusion. Even when I put the Crash bandicoot. in there, it says *Wallbreaker. Kind fo strange. Well, having played with it, I am flashing back to A39 now, and see if it stays or not. I will keep you guys updated.

Good work gentlemen. Now, I am playing on A39, with my well-loved setup, firmware, and languages, and now GAMES> The crash bandicoot is still anoying, but now, I am able to load the other games as well, so I am doing the IF-racing now. The idea to move to A22, and come back was well thought-out. I just wish that crash bandicoot was faster, but I guess everything cannot be perfect.

Complete Process as I succeeded to make games playable

I went to CB2000, and uploaded the game. I then went ahead, and flashed my phone back to A22, and did a CB2000 memory erase. I tried the game, and it was working. I reflashed back to A39, and did another memory erase just to be fancy

. At this point I have the game playable, and I can now upload new games too, but of course, having only one at a time on the phone. So this downgrade and upgrade is necessary only once, and you will be fine. Of course, to begin with, switch the phone to INFUSIO as opposed to INTERNAL. I did this with my original firmware, when I uploded the first game. It should now work

I am not saying that this is the only , or best or fastest method, but it sure is a working method. I will update my website now, so everybody can donwload the games one by one.

i did the downgrading /Upgrading firmware route, currently playing crash bandicoot on my a39 no sound firmware, i can now just upload the ctc to change games ,

all i need now is better games,

Hey ya Bence8810, good work, I see you and Lou69 have been doing...

I tried uploading the games(without downgrading), and it didnt work, but I could reload the 3D demo back into it no problems...

So, if you do the downgrade, and upload the game, check it, and then upgrade firmware, can you then upload/swap the games, without having to downgrade each time?

Do you do the downgrade once, and then any of them can be uploaded (one at a time of course) ??

Just wondering before I start messing around with them...

Just to say i am currently running a39 and if i want to upload game all i do is boot up cb2000 and load the relevant ctc, so i dont have to change firmware

So i only downgraded once then did the mem clear in cb 2000 , then upgraded to a39 (not a53 as some people say it doesnt work so i didnt try )

Do the downgrade, and try the game, and then upgrade back, and it will work. And then, you can swap games with CB2000 as qfk123 says.

hi i have a gd87 with a22 firmware.
i can load cb2000 fine and although i can get the game on the fone itself when i try to switch from internal to infusio in customisation and click on the write to fone button at the bottom it says on the fone that it hasn't worked and it doesn't. i also tried turnin on a different option under another tab and that didn't work either.

has any1 had this problem?? can any1 help??

I dont know what to say. Spoon has A21, and it worked for him. As for EEPROM, i dont know if it needs to be unlocked or not. Mine is open and most everybody's are open also. I would try to reflash to A22 possibly, or A21 again, the memory erase is good idea also. but as I said, I have never heard it, so I dont know what to say. Keep trying.

I don't know what to say about your problems.I have A53 custom.i only downgraded once to a22 just for unlocking my phone.i upgraded then to A53custom MacOx and then enabled infusio in cb2000 and uploaded game.i now have crash bandicoot(that i think is a 4levels demo and this makes it very boring)which is a bit slow but playable...the other games we can have now are a bit of mess.if only we could have spyro or james bond.....

hi all, i unlocked the eeprom and now the game switch in cb2000 works, i have just played the racing game, a bit dodgy but better than sheep hearding, lol.

is there anything else i should do while im on this firmware? (i know i cant unloack the eeprom from higher than a22 and was wondering if there is anything else i cant do from higher firmwares??)

i'll be attempting my flash as soon as i can, so the sooner anyone gets back to me the better, lol

also should i go for a39 or a53? i heard that panasonic released a new firmware recently, is this true? is it any good?

hi all its me again, has any1 else noticed that if you check score by level on crash that there are scoring positions for 20 levels??

also i have a problem, i tried that demo file and it looked all good, but now nothing else will work. all the games wil upload to the fone but when i try to play them it loads to the title screen then i get an internal error. can any1 help me??

also neither wallbraker game worked for me, even b4 this misshap, the english one would load but i would get an internal error after the title screen and the italian one wouldn't even upload to the fone.

if any1 could help at all i would appreciate it a load
