Problem with panasonic

I have a Panasonic Allure (310). I was sending messages when my mobile phone HANGED UP!! the battery was full and the phone did not fell etc. I tried switching it off but to no avail! I took out the battery and put again! NOW the phone is not switching on!
I connected it to a charger and its not charging! i cleaned the battery terminals etc, but to no avail. i showed it to some tech guy who says something must be burnt! Has this happened to anyone? what shall i do now? please help me!!
