Clean your p800 of accumulated crap

When you install/uninstall, all sorts of crap gets left behind to hamper your phone's operation (and consume huge 16k memory blocks for each 1 k file!). I like to go thro and delete files and directories that look unnecessary - but ocasionally you delete something important like "outsidein" and lose your SMS's. Here's a view of what the phone looks like after first receiving it with R1d firmware. It's a start, but perhaps someone could provide a similar snapshot for R2f. It would need to be made immediately after receiving their phone, or after a clean reset (best created by extracting esc file using winzip, then running DOS "dir/s > dir.txt")
Note: this is not a perfect snapshot. I had taken a couple of photos, I had shifted some pictures off C and onto D, and I MAY have already set up mail by this stage. Also, I don't understand why the "outsidein" directory does not appear which one deletes at one's peril. Perhaps it's an R2f thing?

You could also just do a backup, factory-reset and then restore every four to six months...

I did not do a back up when I first got the phone. Now I want to reset phone to factory default as though it is new. I have done a reset (also check the remove all apps). Now it shows that I have 5.9MB avaible for internal memory, I though I have 12MB total when brand new.
Not sure if I have reseted everything. Need help to restore to factory condition.
