I am currently an alltel customer and in need of a new phone. However I do not want any of the phones they offer in my area. I'm very interested in the new Kyocera Slider PHone. Does anyone know when they will be on the market and/or anything on the performance. Any info. will be greatly appreciated...I am currently working a temp job for sprint pcs and really like the sanyo phones they have but people seem to have alot of complaints about service and billing...

Thanks, Sherri

Anyone have any more info regarding the Blade? Was it launched at the Telus Mobility dealer rally?

I just looked through all the specs, virtual-reality tour and even the damn online manual and this phone is seriously cool!

It has all the features I want including weight and seminingly intuitive menu system... this T300 is just killing me here cuz I seriously want a change.

I'm not expecting an exact date, but since this was supposedly announced last week along with the T731 and the new Audiovox, maybe someone could shed some light on this?

Thanks.

Yes the blade was confirmed at the dealer rally. I suspect it will be released in the next week or two, but who knows.

Sometimes I wish I was a dealer so I could have a little more inside info!

Any talk of pricing whatsoever?

PERFECT! I'd probably pay up to $150 on a 1yr contract.

I just hope that the phone feels as good as it looks.

(no, not in that way)

150$?????!!?!?!? That's so cheap!!! Are they picking up the greyscale one or something?

This is the entry level phone, it has to be a resonable price. Strange that for an entry level phone, it's got the best sound.

There is no a greyscale version though... only 4k-colour and 65k-colour version.

TELUS is selling the 4000 colour version. 5 line display.

The phone does not have java or MMS which is why its considered entry level. Otherwise the features and quality are very good.

Oh yeah, TELUS will not be releasing the slider phone.

Could you answer a question for me?

I want to know if it is possible to send dialing tones while in a call?

For example if I call my calling card#, it will ask me to input a phone number, and with my T300 I can search for that person's name in my phonebook and select "SEND NUMBER".

With my old Sanyo phone it could not do this. I had to go into the phonebook, memorize the number, and return back to the idle screen so I could enter each digit manually.

Yes, i think, i call my messages box and put my id pass while in a call.
For example, when the box ask me for my pass i send the numbers id one by one and i´m into my memobox. while i´m in comunication.
i think your sanyo is an analog phone, probably works in AMPS old System.

No, that's not what I meant... I will clarify:

I want an option on the phone to automatically send a phone number from the phonebook (during a call).

I don't want to input numbers manually if they exist already in the phonebook.

(Old Sanyo was SCP-4500 dual mode digital)

I don´t know, i try to do it.

You could even try to save your voicemail password as a phonebook entry,

dial your voicemail number,

and try to select your voicemail password from the phonebook and see if the phone will send the digits.

xbear, I also forgot to ask: Is possible to add words to the T9 dictionary?

My Dad has a 5135 and it doesn't have that feature.
