Sups. I've had the e715 for about 4 weeks now. I've dled alot of wallpapers and such. However, there's one annoying thing that bothers me. Each supposedly full-size wallpaper, has a "white 1 pixel" horizontal line at the bottom of each one. I'm just wondering why the wallpapers that came with the phone does not have this and every other *full size wallpaper features that I've downloaded, has this annoying white pixel line at the bottom. I mean surely there must be a way to rid/disable it? Is there an option to make it black?

What size are the wallpapers? Can you post one of them here? How are you sending them to the phone?

Example 1 is how it should be on the phone. Example 2 shows what happens after I dled it via WAP (Euploader). It doesn't matter it is !28 * 128 or 128*126. There will always be a white 1 pixel line on the bottom for any wallpaper I downloaded. I'm thinking there must be a way to rid/disable that if the wallpapers that came preloaded on the phone does not feature that stupid white pixel line.

Sorry for the extra post. Don't have server to upload them. Anyhow here's Exmaple 2 showing what I mean after downloading and setting it was a wallpaper for my phone.

You know, it's funny. I get that white line with even example2.jpg, which is 128x128; yet, I don't have the problem with other images.
Have you tried sending it with EasyGPRS?
I wonder what's so special about that one. I'll poke at it when I get a sec in an image editor, see if there's something odd about it.

You can use the datacable, I just send mine of IrDA.

I looked at your image, the white line is in the image itself, the canvas is 128x128, but the image is 128x126.

Try this one:

It's vertically stretched a bit, but you'll probably never notice. See if that line is still there.

nono....i added the line 2 the picture. My bad if you got missled. Only did that show my point. I can dled any wallpaper. My point is that when I download it and put it up as a wallpaper, a magically white pixel line is at the bottom. Its' quit noticeable when I have a really dark wallpaper and there's that white pixel line stand out like a sore thumb.

I went to the cingular website, but those stink. I have wireless window if that matters. Im supposed to save the wallpaper to my computer and then upload it but how does it get from there to my phone????

I tried 128x128 first, got white borders. Read in the thread people saying 128x126......still no good, still got a white border along the bottom. Can anyone tell me what the correct size is?

Also, has anyone been able to get this to transfer to their phone correctly?

I tried downloading it off my website, got the error "forbidden". Tried doing it through euploader.com, just to make sure it wasn't my server, same error.

I got it to work with the link Deakon posted from gamer.nl. (Thanks by the way !) Unfortunately it runs a bit slowly and is a bit blurry on the display. I found I dont mind just a frame of it that I grabbed in photoshop, so I did that. Today I changed my wallpaper again, but I'm sure this one'll come back in the rotation.

actually its very simple to resize/trim pictures in Photoshop.

Just use this menu items. They are self-explanatory. I think in English its called "Picture -> Image Size" and "Picture -> "work space".

In a few minutes i`ll upload some wallpapers i made. Just have to trim them from 128*128 to 128*126 because of the gap at both sides :\

How are you able to transfer animated .gifs to the phone? I'm using T-Mobile, connecting by GPRS thru their t-Zones. I visit www.euploader.com, and then I send an animated file like that gandalf.gif, I get a message saying "Forbidden" when I try to do the Download part. What do I need to check into to be able to transfer .gif files?

Ok.. tried again, but this time with a smaller animated .gif file. I sent that Star Wars kid file, the one that's only 7k in size, and it worked fine. It's tiny, and not that great, but at least I'm able to see animated files.

My question is, why is it that my E715 can't handle the other animated .gifs posted here? (like gandalf.gif and sakura.gif) Does anybody know the file size limit of incoming .gifs or any other file for our phones?
