How difficult is it to bridge the 8260? How much soldering experience must one have to successfully do it?

According to All4cell.com soldering 8200 phones is alot harder than doing it for 5100 or 3300... Why?.. Abviously because its a very small board.... You have to be very careful with 8260 especially, since all the data is stored on the board, unlike the 8290...

Its been done successfully! Yes... My friend had his blue LEDs bridged, the man who did it was using one of those huge magnifying glasses to see (he was old, and the resistor is hard to see, I guess)... But he did a good job!... His lights turned out very bright!

I wouldn't do it myself.... Actually I would!.... But you have to be careful!

I don't really think that soldering the LED's on the 8260 is that much more difficult than the 5165 or the 6120.... or the keypad on the 71X0. After all, they all use 0603 LED's. The 3360 uses a larger LED (3x2 gull-wing, 0805, or 1206), but the phone itself is harder to work on due to all the cage cutting.

Resistor bridging on the 8260 isn't that difficult (IMHO), no worse than the 7160. But nothing is as easy as the 5165/6120.

Bridging a 8260 for me was very easy ! Yes u need a lot of experiance in soldering. If u slip and miss most likley u will mess up your phone. Get somebody that knows what they are doing before u go ahead and do this mod !!! Recommened for sure
But with some pactice u can can do it , thats how i learned. The results are amazing . Just look These pics are ****** but u can u see the quality in the brightness. The screen Has White Leds's and the Keypad has Hyper Blue Leds !!!
Any questions ask me !!!!!!!!!!
