hey everyone... sorry if this has been discussed before (i did a search to check though and came up with nothing), but has anyone here ever heard of the antenna on a 3360 needing to be unattached in order for new leds to be installed? cuz i went to pacific mall in markham yesterday to get blue leds for my 3360, and the guy at the store i bought my faceplate at said he couldn't change the leds under the keypad unless he severed the antenna from the rest of the phone or something like that (he was basically warning me that i would have crappy reception afterwards)... he did say that he could change the leds under the lcd with no problem though... anyone know if this is true?

The guy must be confused. You have to cut the metal cages, but not the antenna. The antenna resides inside the plastic case near the top of the phone by the power button. It's a ways off from the keypad area. Cutting the cages will have no effect on your reception so tell him to sack up and start cutting.
