It has both.

And so far this is one crazy little phone for the money. I'm lovin' it.

polyphonic rings? how many chords, if so?

you would take this over a camera phone?

i'm in the market for a new next generation phone and looking well at the SE t630, moto v600, nec 525 and this now.

how about the external id, what's the customization on it?

Is it just me or are AT&T's data plans outrageous!! The phone is great but The price of those plans scare me away!! I know I will be browsing all the time with such a great phone!!

Unlock the phone and switch to T-Mo...

All you can eat data for $19.99, sure beats AT&T's 8 MBs for the same price...

How do you unlock the phone and use on T-mobile??

Posted by: cortez

you'll have to send the phone's IMEI number to someone/a company that can provide the unlock code. check this thread out for more info... if you'd like, PM me and i'll give you the email address of the company that unlocked mine.

is the predictive text input really T9 like what the review says, or is it actually Motorola's iTap?

YES!!! Then I'm actually gonna consider getting this phone... if it had iTap, I would cross it off the list right away. I just wish it had a camera... argh... trade-offs make decisions so hard!

<heh> Yes, very true about the trade-offs. Too bad there's still no perfect phone out there yet.

From what I've read around the Net (dunno for sure if it's true or not), the reason this phone has T9 (and has the typical placement of the send/end keys) is because Moto didn't actually manufacture this phone.

Whatever the actual reasons are, I'm glad this model has T9 and the placing of the send/end keys aren't "reversed" (like they usually are on Moto phones).

Good luck with your decision-making, Batgal!

Thanks for the info, Ranphi!

Btw, can the T9 be used with ALL the functions when inputing text? Like other than msg'ing, can T9 be used for tasks/calendar/contacts, etc?

Seems like you can use T9 in a lot of different areas. Don't know if it can be used everywhere though.

T9 is available in all the areas you asked about though: tasks, calendar and contacts. I just tried it in each of those and it worked fine.

Hope that helps.
