hey can the sanyo 8100 send text messages? and also can you email pictures?

yes, you have to send text messages via web based application (not sms). The pictures are easy... once you have taken the picture you press the button under share... the rest just walks you right through.

do i have to have picture mail? and also, i do get charged for internet right? srry i just got sprint and the guy didnt explain it well

I would recommend having your rep check (whoever set it up, hopefully its someone that can access your account on the spot) and double check that your plan will let you do it no problem. However most cases you wont have to worry. Usually they will set you up on a plan that is for a vision phone with some data to burn (if not unlimited). When you do send a picture it will use the web but again that is coming out of your bucket of data. You just want to make sure so you dont have an improperly inflated bill
