said earlier that i did the LEDs on my 3390 all by myself and that the screen was lit up bright. i found out why-only 2 of the keypad LEDs were lighting up. i open it back up, "fix" the porblem and were back in business. not so fast, now my whole phone doesnt work. basically, im buying a new one tomorrow and i dont know what phone to get this time. i like the simplicity of the 3390 but i want something different if i have to buy another phone.

well thanks for all the input. well, i got a new phone. siemens s40. eventhough its been out for awhile, its what i initailly wanted to get and its still a nice phone. its got blue LEDs already so i dont have to change them.

Be fair... you didn't give people enough time to respond. It usually takes a day or so for people to really take notice.

How heavy is the s40 compared to the 3390... also size-wise how does it compare? It is really hard to tell from the pictures.

my 3390-its only good as a paperweight. the thing doesnt even come on. size wise- 3390 is a little wider, a little taller, theyre about as slim as each other, and the s40 is a little lighter but i cant tell that much of a difference-im bad with things like that. ive had it half a day and i like it so far. the display is the best-color, not the same black and green, customize the look. a lot of menu to go through and theyre all over the place but easy to get around after 30 minutes of scrolling through everything. s40 is a lot more than i need-like i said, i like 3390's simplicity-but its a nice phone. i just need to find out how to email on it cuz my dumb friend has a 2 way and thats the only way i cant contact him mobily.

i heard s40s have alot of firmware issues that siemens has to fix...shYt i think its not worth buying period.

yeah, im dumb. i didnt go to any of the siemens forums to check it out first. i was going to get another 3390, then decided to get the s40 cuz thats what i wanted when i got the first 3390. cuz the s40 is "cool". im sure theres a bunch of problems now but whatever, what im i going to do now? and i lied- the s40 is the smae height as the 3390 but its skinnier for sure. its taller than a 8290 but skinnier than that too.

yea i was talking with some simpro sale people about it
apparently it has a lot of problems
phone will crap out, lose phone book etc...
my bro just got his a while ago and nothing bad yet
