no one?

it's not possible with the current implementation of bluetooth.

The next generation of bluetooth, to be incorporated in handsets next year, will increase the range from 10meters to 100meters, and will allow for streaming stereo audio to headsets and the like.

u can using nokia phones like 3650 or 7650

I think that has to do with the fact that the P800 doesn't support the handsfree profile and those Nokias do.

Maybe a future firmware revision will fix this. One can hope.

are you sure about the Nokia phones being able to do that? i own a Nokia 3650 and cannot get it to do it.

While i'm not a "developer" of software, I'm an enthusiest and in my readings and research with the Bluetooth SIG and, most noteably, Ericsson, all have said that it is not possible with the current specs of Bluetooth-

The next implementation will allow for digital streaming of music from phone to headset via bluetooth wireless, but not now

I have paired a headset with my laptop and can play any audio from the PC, including MP3s, through the headset. The problem is that the Headset & Handsfree profiles only allow for a single mono SCO channel. So you get the sound in mono. And it's a 64kbit channel, so you don't get full bandwidth -- it's designed to carry voice after all.

From the very brief look I've had at the Bluetooth docs, it looks like they're introducing a new high-bandwidth stereo channel.

xgambit,

I have an N-gage too but when I try to play MP3s, it says that I need to enable the speakerphone to listen or hook up a headphone. Can you tell me how you did it? I own a Digital Bluespoon so I'm not sure which one you have.

I know this is a thread for p800...sorry guys.

Thanks.

you have to pair it under the handsfree profile. i use the freespeak and i have to pair it under a different method and all the sounds run through the bluetooth.

xgambit,

Thanks for the reply. Here's my problem: I can connect to my BT headset with the right profile (i.e.: I hear all the sounds from the N-gage like when you hit a key or midi rings). The problem is that when I go to the MP3 player application that is built in, when I try to play an MP3, it says to activate the speakerphone and I cannot play anything until I do that. Can you tell me what you do to make it work (all the steps) please?

Thanks.
