Okay for the life of me, iSync and my p800 will no longer Sync.

I have deleted pairings on phone/computer/iSync.

I am running 10.2.8 MacOS Powerbook G4 - DLINK BT Dongle

P800 - R2D

I have also removed contacts from address book, and just have the ones in my p800, phone is discoverable, everything repaired, however I am getting the dreaded.

|P800| Could not connect to P800. Please check the pairing with this computer.
Can't synchronize contacts to P800: device is not available

I have read a couple threads but that didnt help. It worked before, dont know what the deal is now

If you have your firewall activated make sure port 3004 is open for iSync. That fixed it for me!

I am running 10.2.6 and it worked with a little fiddling...

Although you sound like you've really run it through all options, one trick you may not have tried already is to open Address Book, click on the Bluetooth button, and if it links (3 small dots move left to right across icon in menu bar) you can often try iSync then and it works.

I had to do that this afternoon.

well its looks like I solved my problem after over a week of not being able to iSync which is a major bummer.

I always had allowed my computer to make a connection without confirming first, well I set everything back up, and just left that unchecked for the hell of it on my p800, and sure enough it worked!!

well they started again. this time after using my bluespoon digital for a long time today, which leads me to believe there is some misnomer when it comes to iSync trying to find the p800 and having a bluespoon digital.

I will let you all know when I get to the bottom of this.

And only to think I turned down jobs to test software
