What does everyone think of the LG TM-250 ?

I think it looks cute. Nice and small, nothing fancy to drive up the price. Would be nicer with an external display, but like I said about driving up the price.

MY concerns would be no analog (only 1.9 and 800) and sound quality (only basing it on privious models).

Seems to have a very nice price tho.

Enjoy!

Crap, I didn't notice that it had no Analog support. I only get stuck in Analog once in a while, but still.

Soon ther will be no more analog, so it won't matter. I personnally really like this phone, find it very solid.

we have sold a fair number of them (not a ton though as some reps are cautious about the lack of analog), but we still haven't had one back for any service or reception issues. i think the lack of analog is becoming less of a factor.

People who worry about no analog coverage should give their head a shake. Once they're done with that they should set their phone to digital only (if possible) and try that out for a week or two. I'm sure they would change their tune.

Well, I wouldn't exactly say that yet. There are buildings I go into that can only hold a connection with the analog network.

From here to about a year (or something like that), all of the analog towers will be upgraded to digital so analog will be a thing of the past.

Well, I hope by that time they would have the network tweaked so that signal penetration is better than they are now. Anyways those problems only happen in a small area anyways, generally that's downtown Toronto.

Or wishfully hoping it'll that 3586i will have better signal sensitivity than my 6185.

What do you think of the 3586i? PM me.

I'll post my views so far on it on new thread to avoid taking over this 250 thread.

that is most interesting, I figured it would be coming.

when bell shuts down analog Fido customer will not be able to use the "but I can get a analog phone" excuse no more.

Cobra: is the analog shutdown confirmed because I know Rogers is swapping out analog for GSM850 quite soon

I tried on over the weekend. So far I at least like the way it Text Messages. Almost identical to my 8200. Even the TM Main menu is the same. I know this doesn't mean much, it's all what you get used to, but it sure would make it easier for me to switch over.

Excellent price, at my store it's 23 bucks on a 2 year

Nice and small the slimest flip ive seen in a bit

external call Id would be good, but oh well!

They needed a cheap flip that wasnt a peice of junk (IE keyocera 5135)

Too bad only dual band, not ready for it in many parts of ontario/canada...

works well in our area though no more painful searching flipping between coverages... haha

As far as I know, BM plans to support the Analog towers out to 2005.
