This program is in BETA tesiting and as soon as it is ready to be released it will be rolled out and distributed FREELY.
Information should be, and eventually always is, free. Brought to you by people who believe it more noble to teach a man to fish than to beat him up and steal his wallet.

Well well well...

This looks kind of suspicious...

I wonder if someone is using a loader to enable the engineering report and dumping that, only to parse the file and provide a human readable code?

If so...

They should know that they are using a program that may have been stolen from me.

Whoever might be foolhardy enough to distribute anything i may have given to friends should know that I watermarked that code for each individual....

If it's leaked.. I'll know who the leak is...

And your name will be 5h1t in this community.

Oh! And if my guess is correct that this is just an exploitation of something taken from me... Where do you expect to get a version that will work from the falcons?

This is the very reason that all new toys that I'm putting out there are being hardware locked.

But you're not teaching them to fish, you're simply spooning the cooked fish directly into their mouth...

You want to teach someone to "fish", put out a simple and understandable tutorial on how the codeplug is encrypted.

Depeds on how you like to fish...me, im not big on holding a pole and waiting. I'd rather throw an explosive into the water and wait for the dead to rise to the top....that made no sense, but I enjoyed it, and that's all that matters.

an encryption algorithm for the 1A or the 19 CP would be the most helpful method for teaching me to fish. I've been working on it, but maybe I'm looking too deep and missing something.

But at the moment, my hands are empty.

But I have a theory that totaly bypasses encryption, etc... if I could stay on 1 project for long enough

but yes... a little direction would be very nice... at least let me know which way I should be going.

I wonder if this thing just hooks into RSS and reads the unencrypted codeplug data from memory in order to get the unlock code

However it does it, I'd be more interested in the LE hack and startup strings, myself. Maybe even something to decrypt/modify/reencrypt a backup CP. I got my phone from Nextel, and use Nextel service, so I'm not too interested in unlocking.

IF the source of this did come from you you gotta understand one thing.. You wrote a loader for RSS. Which means you wrote a way around RSS to generate the code that regular people who run RSS are not supposed to have access to.. You did not write a new program. How can you possibly be upset if you software gets distrubuted? I think the only people who would have a legit beef about this progarm is Motorola. They are the ones being hurt by all this. You my friend are simply a glory hound. You want everything to come from you so people will run to you when they need something. Your not doing any of this to help the IDEN community your doing it to help your own inflated ego..

And if someone did leak your progarm, their name maybe shyt to you, but I seriously doubt the community will be offended unless the people that were dumb enough to pay for it get ticked cause they didn''t wait.. Because everyone loves free stuff..

PWT's done plenty to help this community...and if someone took his code (program or workaround, it matters not) and distributed it without his permission and even without giving him credit for it, thats just wrong...

Quite simply, IF the tool does utilize my loader, there *is* a real issue there. The codeplug report that is generated is useful for much more than unlocking, and allows an individual to discover much about the codeplug.

Regardless of its use or intent, that software is an original work by me. It is not RSS, nor is it a knockoff of RSS. It is an original piece of software, scripted in such a manner as to cause RSS to write a more interesting report about the loaded codeplug than it otherwise would.

IF that tools hinges around the loader I wrote as a requirement for performing it's functionality, I am politely requesting that it not be released.

If someone builds a tool around code that I built, it simply demonstrates a sad, underlying truth: those without the talent to do the work themselves will always be waiting to steal from someone else.

I take some comfort in knowning that the Falcon release is practically upon us.

As you know doubt know, the tool I came up with was for Carrier RSS R01.15.04 only, which has no support for the Falcon line.

There will not be a tool of similar design for any future versions.

As the entire condor series slowly disappears into history, the relevance of any unlocker built around that loader will dwindle, and there is no supplier for another loader like it.

but you talk like you are the end all like your the only one capable of doing anything...... maybe slow down a little on that road...

myself i'm more interested in the falcon, i wanna flash that! and add ringers, edit this and what, the strings what not..

and i wanna be able to do the flashing 04 and stuff and strings color palettes that stuff!

dont care about unlocking, i make enough money with housings phone sales so i dont need to UNLOCK phones to exploit them

Natural Light, thank you for the offer to share the beta program that you are testing; However, unless “The people” you are asking us to test this for offer the final version to us free, then it’s a bad deal.

Does anybody remember the “whatever_write” fiasco? My beef with that was that the beta was released here and forum members were used as guinea pigs. In some cases real damage was done. It also brought undue attention to the more elegant CP mods that other forum members were performing. It may have also contributed to Nextel’s/Moto’s decision to change the CP in the first place.

With all that said “the people” who released this beta got the necessary feedback to build a “final”. This “final” was then only available to members who paid a subscription to another forum. In essence, HoFo members had to pay “the people” who f/up their plugs in the first place.

Since then I have maintained that I will not even load a program on my computer (Oh yeah it came complete with Trojans. Ever wonder how you got text spammed?), unless it has been reviewed by a collective of respected HoFo members.

PWT, you are one of those members I speak of. I can name the rest on the fingers of one hand. I would not worry that your code was compromised. It sounds to me like you engineered in some Karma anyway.

I believe the only “fish” to be caught here are as I said, “Red Herrings”

I wasnt offering anything, I was simply informing the public, that a fix for the CP 1A.0A subsidy lock many people have been having trouble with is on its way. People have been paying for a service that another person was planning on offering for free. If you misunderstood my thread, I apologize. Again, this is not my work, and I have nothing to do with the programming, or distribution of it here or anywhere else. I was simply informing the general public that a fix for this issue was in the works and was going to be provided for free. That is all.
