Here is my tale, sad but true.
I have been through 3 "smartphones" in 2 weeks.
First the Toshiba 2023, pretty fair, the Hitachi G1000, a disaster!and now the Samsung I500.
Great phone, I can make and answer calls! That's about it.
I know nothing of the Palm os so lost as far as how to access anything or do anything with the pda side of the phone.
What I'm after is an opening screen, after power on, like a desktop or today screen so I can go to various functions.
The manual, as with any Sprint phone sucks, it's written for 5 year olds and doesn't really tell you anthing but basic information.
I think I'm gonna dig this device, but first I need to know how to use it.
I tried to download an app today and it went on my desktop but I don't know how to get it to hotsync into the pone>
Looser!
Please be patient, don't flame me, This is the best group on the net for help and I myself have helped many here, now I need the favor returned.
Thanks, Chuckster

As for installing apps simply double click the app and it will be placed in your Palm install app on your desktop. The next time you hot synch the app will be installed on your Palm.

I suggest having a look at www.palmgear.com for software.

There are several good launchers out there which is basically what you're looking for. Have a look at Launcher X or Silver Screen.
