Finally went out today to change the backlight on my 8860. The results:

I apologize for the quality of the pics, my webcam is stupid. And if you couldn't tell, the LCD lights are white and the keys are purple. I just recently switched back to AT&T from Cingular, and I gave them (the place where I get my phone stuff) my 3360 in return for some parts for my new Cingular 3390. And apparently they still have it, and the faceplates that came with it. We are probably going to do a trade back pretty soon, and if I get my 3360 back I'll post pics of that too in a new thread. It had a white frosted casing, and new backlight LEDs (green top, white bottom). Also had a little Cobra (As in Ford Mustang) insert behind the screen. Feel free to give me any feedback on the 8860.

that looks nice..i've never seen purple LEDs...oh yea..lose the mustang insert...hehe

Yes that's a good idea!...

I think you should have gone with complete purple!

Hehe, the Mustang Cobra insert is on my 3360, not the 8860. Apparently he sold it already too, so I can't get it back.

I MIGHT get another though and add some new lights on that too, but I dunno.

As for the 8860, I almost got complete purple, but I like white screens.

It looks twice as good when you see it in person, the pic doesn't justify it. Especially when the slide is up and it's dark and illuminated, the screen is white and the arrows for the navigation are purple which adds a nice effect.
