SL55/56's battery(the shiney part)?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Is the shiney part of the battery a sticker? It has some smudges on it and the edge feels like its being held on by some sticky stuff/glue.

there's a bluish transparent rubberlike sticker attached to the new battery...if u peel it off..the silvery part will be exposed n prone to scratches...

o ok, I want to peel the blue-ish sticker but at the same time I don't want to regret peeling it after I do it...
Anyone have any pics hehe?

cool!! Just pulled the blue rubber off and matches my phone way better(titan).
Thanks for the pics Best8845! Wouldn't have pulled it off unless I saw some pics.

After you peel it off... a hint to keep it scratch-free like BEFORE pictures... Put a PDA WriteRight Screen Protectors on it if you have it...

Use a new blade to cut it the size you need...

Yeah, that's what I didn't like about it, too...I have quite a bit of scratches on my silvery part, too...oh well...I can't imagine how it could get scratched considering it was living either on my ear, in my pocket, or on the rug by my bed...heheh...

I didn't know that there was a bluish protector part on the battery till a week after I got the phone. I kinda regret taking it off, I liked the bluish tinge... maybe if they ever come out with a longer lasting OEM battery, I will do it.

Cool!

I never knew it was sticker...! Just peeled it off, and it looks way better now that it isn't blueish any more.

Thanks for the info.

But I also have an other question: Does it have any purpose or is it just a design thing? I thought it might be an aerial , or some thing like that...

You guys (and girls offcourse...) any idea ?

OEM EXTENDED BATTERY for SL55

Cool, would be nice to have one of those for back up or special occassions.

Nice but it's still hasn't been determined whether it truely is OEM.

I don't think it is cause it's not listed on the Siemens international site.
