SPV E-200 officially released
News by Zac Pilalis on Friday October 10, 2003.

The long-awaited 'proper' follow-up to the original SPV (Tanager) smartphone has been officially announced by Orange and Microsoft.
The big news here is the addition of Bluetooth - a first for a Windows Mobile Smartphone. Speaking of which, the E-200 will run on Microsoft's Smartphone 2003 OS; again, another first. On top of that you also get a built-in camera capable of recording video. Although the processor still runs at 132mhz, the actual processing speed should be enhanced due to the 2003 operating system's updated architecture... so say Microsoft. Aesthetically, the E-200 retains much of the characteristics of its older brother's, the original SPV & the E-100, with only minor changes to the buttons and the inclusion of the camera.
With all these features, together with Microsoft's familiar applications and Orange's unique online storage & mobile services, the SPV E-200 shapes up to be a seriously strong & very capable business phone. Building on the credibilty of previous SPV's, the E-200 shouldn't have a problem in finding prospective buyers. Orange state a mid-November release across Europe, so get started on those letters to Santa ASAP.
