Hey all,
about two yearss ago I purchased an 8 mb top of the line color handspring visor from best buy, luckily for me I also purchased the replacement plan. Only now the handspring is not working up to par, and I NEED A replacement. can anyone help me to let me know what I can get at this point from best buy, what they will give me, (a gift card worth the original amount $449 or just a $120 16mb palm) i need to know what to expect and who to speak to...
thanks

If your replacement plan is still valid, you call the # on the plan, and they will send you a mailing label. You send in your PDA and theysend you a voucher equal to the amount you originally paid plus the cost of the product replacement plan.

You go into a BB store and use that voucher to purchase whatever you want.

I've done it twice.

But, FIRST check to see if your plan has expired or not. If it has you are SOL, if not, call the number.

Best Buy and Compusa are no longer doing that, all replacement programs for PDA's and Cellphones with PDA functionality get sent back to manufacturer, and you will get a refurbed model of the exact same device back, if no refurbs are available, they will send you a new one of same device back if they have any in stock, or attempt to repair the one you sent in. If your device is irreparable, only then will they send you a voucer equal to the purchase price or less. Same goes for laptop replacement plans..

I would not mind getting a new replacement, or even my own one repaired.. but I do not like the idea of a refurb..... Something just smells fishy
