S56 Ringtone won't play?!

Just picked up a S56 today and was setting it up. I tried to select the buggle Call (sp?) as the ringtone but when I tested it out, it played this ringtone that's not even listed on the device... Since that's a .mmf file, I tried a .mid (Canon in D) and when I selected that under the Normal Env. Category, and then tested, it still played this "standard" ringtone which I have no idea what it is... Can anyone point to me what I'm doing wrong here?

Okay, nevermind.. I'm so used to Nokias that this was really throwing me off.. I had to just choose a ringer for "other calls" as opposed to just my phonebook calls. I assumed that was for (the first setting) all calls... Oh well... looks like I can select a ringer for any individual!

I am just getting used to mine as well. Really nice, full featured phone at a great price. I paid $160 at Best Buy for mine. So far my only complaint is that I can't stop the phone ringing with the volume up/down button (T68i could). Also, a screen with more colors would be preferable, but that's only a slight beef. I am just glad I have a phone that get's reception in my house (T68i signal would bounce from 0-1 bars every 10 seconds or so...made calls come through, but drop right away).

Yeah, mine seems to get good reception too. But I may be concerned about battery life. We'll see though in the coming days. I was just setting it up yesterday when I noticed the battery level go down some. So I'm going to be keeping an eye on this. I got this phone to be my "small" phone. When the Mot V600 comes out, I think that will replace my Nokia 3650.

Yeah, didn't really pay attention to battery prior, but just checked. It's used about 25% in about 26 hours. I usually charge every night, but it's always nice to know your phone can go 6 days without problems. It looks like 4 would be pushing it with the S56.

I too like the looks of the V600. Might be giving that one a hard look. I really like the package that the Moto Smartphone offers. It's looks to be the perfect marriage of PDA and phone. The only thing that may stop me from getting that is no bluetooth, well that and the chance that niether the V600 or the other (Mx2000?) will more than likley have crappy RF (based on all the other Moto phones.

Yeah, I'm waiting to hear reports on the V600. I would not want a phone with bad RF as that totally defeats the purpose of even having one! Especially if you pay big bucks for it! I'm getting good RF on the S56 right now and I think normally, it's a bit touch and go in this building at work.

I really like the upcomming nokia 6600 but I'm not sure if it has the 850 band or not. That's really important to help out in the RF issue here...
