I currently have a Panasonic Versio (with AT&T service) and hate it. Of course, I'm spoiled because I was using the feature-rich and very user-friendly Sanyo 4500 that my company let me have temporarily. For many reasons (which I'll post on the appropriate forum) I'm switching to Verizon (I'm still in first 30 days of AT&T) and in researching all the phones, I'm leaning towards the 9100. In the future I will likely spend the $200+ for a deluxe feature-rich phone, but right now need to keep costs down, so the 9100 seems to be the best choice. Have seen pretty much only positive comments on it on other websites, but haven't seen much on HowardForums about it. Any comments?

I am using the CDM9100 as my primary phone right now and have nothing but positive comments about it. The 1 way speakerphone is kind of useless, but the sound quality is great and the battery life/charging time is even better. The only faults with the phone (1 way speakerphone and old microbrowser) will be corrected with the 9150x but I still say the 9100 is an excellent value.

I'm the originator of this thread and since I wrote my initial post I had checked out the 9100 and was very close to getting it when i happened upon a cellular store that carried a Samsung T300. Although that phone has been out awhile, Verizon just added it as a phone to their system (according to the salesperson), at least as far as my area goes I suppose. It was a tough decision, but the T300 was a little "prettier" and a little more feature-rich, and I went with that (which I'll post about shortly in the reviews section). But, based on all the research I've done (and I did a lot) I could tell that the 9100 has a lot going for it. The next model up you mention will probably be a great phone.

I think you still made a decent choice, even though I still stand by my 9100. I've never used the T300, but I've had some bad experiences with my N150 (my first and only samsung). I actually won a raffle and had a choice between the n150 and the t300...I didn't know much about either and made a quick choice for the n150. I regret that one. Right now the T300 is not in most verizon stores, and is through internet and indirect only. I thought it was going to be launched through the direct stores but it just never happened, although it may yet. The N150 was, but didn't last long before being discontinued (a few weeks, maybe?) Anyway, good luck with the samsung, but keep an eye out for that 9150x!
