if i buy a used phone off someone, and want to change my current phone to the one i bought, im guessing i have to pay the $50 upgrad fee right?
what else would i have to pay for?

Actually there is no 50$ fee from the network for used hardware. Since the hardware could be from another network (lets hope not, many reasons why) or someone else already was on a contract for buying it at a cheaper rate. however you would not pay this fee, but at the store the dealer would charge you probably $10-$15 for the esn change to the used unit since they are making nothing off of it in commission since its not a unit your purchasing at the store.

You would only have to pay a $35.00 ESN change fee on your bill. And maybe an instore fee depending on what store you get it done at. (usually around $20.00).

Thats news to me Bellrocks. The only charges for swaping an esn at a store are whatever the store charges for doing the change through infonet. Customer will not see any charges on their invoice from the network.

Standard price should only be $15 in store for programming.

ok...as long as it is not the $50 upgrade fee, plus the esn change fee....

Upgrade is only for new hardware purchased in store.

ahh thnk god for my connections

i get free upgrades over the phones. new or used phones. they give me the codes and everything cuz my owner of the account has another 15 accts so there is a note on all our accounts saying we can upgrade and program/reprogram ove the phone when we want..

i have to be honest your in the most unique situation I have ever seen there world never come across such a case as yours. If you scored me on the phone man would you be in for the shock of your life yuk yuk. FYI there are accounts with 300+ phones on it without this type of setup you proclaim to have.

u still gotta admit though. for a normal customer with 15 accts bell is treating us very well.. in addition we get free internet, caller id, txt msg, voicemail and reduced LD rates soo ya i have my time 35 with $16 of promos plus my LD rates

thats sounds pretty good....damn, i need a hook up....oh wellz...

This is one area that can be solved with a UIM or SIM. GSM users can swap phones at will.

I've decided not to buy a new CDMA phone until they put UIMs in it... or if my v120 dies completely.

i just did the esn change today at the mall, and i did have to pay them anything, to get it done.
so u guyz were wrong, saying that i need to pay $20 for the change, i know for telus, u have to pay $20
but not bell

just another reason why BELL ROCKS !!!

I LOVE BELL

Not all stores are as consistent with charging the $15 for ESN changes and programming.
