Hi,

Can someone comment on S55 phone for RF and batterie? I'm think of getting either this Siemens or Nokia 6310i (I heard the Nokia has very good RF and batterie excellent).

Until last month I owned both these phones. (I sold the Nokia; I still have the S55.)

I live in a basement apartment with marginal T-Mobile reception - so RF is a big issue for me. I bought the Nokia because of its stellar reputation for holding a signal. I found that for me, it performed as well as the S55, but no better. This isn't saying anything against the Nokia - but its probably means that the S55 holds its own in the RF department. Both of them would pretty much hold the siganl.

So I think you could probably base your decision on other factors. The S55 has many more features including color screen, voice dialing, and attachable camera. It's also half the size. On the other hand the Nokia is easier to dial and use (bigger size wins the day here) and I find the Nokia menus easier to navigate.

Wow - thank you very much. This help a lot.

I never realize S55 is so small - I should go see it, but before making the choice I was wonder about the rf and you say it good in basement of apartment.

Can someone give some idea about batterie life on the S55?

I find the battery life on the S55 to be great. Several days on a single charge with moderate use. It also charges in just a couple of hours.
