Dialing: How to do waiting, pauses?

How do I key in a pause or wait for the phone number in the addressbook?

Say for instance I have an office number 416-555-1212 and my friend is at extension 123. As soon as I dial the number, I can then key in the 123 for extension.

Is there a way to enter in the address book a wait/pause? On my old Samsung, I could put in a code to wait until I press the Send key again before it sends the extension numbers. So I call the number then until I hear the voice prompt, then press Send and then the extension is keyed by the phone?

Hi,

Siemens should have done a better job of explaining some of the features that are available on their phones. Simply, press and hold "0" to insert a "+" to get a 3 second pause.

I had the same problem. For such an advanced phone, the guide is pretty crappy.
